The Palm Beach County Sober Homes Task Force is being recognized for their fight against the opioid epidemic.
“We’ve been recognized now by a national organization for the ‘Investigation of the Year,’ which was the prosecution of Kenneth Chatman, who is going to be serving federal prison time,” said State Attorney Dave Aronberg.
It’s a prestigious award from the National Health Care Anti-Fraud Association.
The task force was honored for its role in sentencing sober home operator Kenneth Chatman for running a health care fraud scheme.
After making more than 41 arrests, the task force is now helping to train prosecutors across the nation on how to handle rogue treatment centers.
